JAPAN-O-RAMA
Konichiwa! Brief interruption from regular film reviewing schedule here. As mentioned earlier in the year, the ongoing JAPAN-O-RAMA feature I’ve been running – in conjunction with some of my favourite movie bloggers – was brought around after I booked a trip from Scotland to Japan.
It’s been and gone, and I’m not even going to attempt to review such a unique country (especially in a paragraph!) but suffice to say that it’s hands-down the coolest place I’ve been lucky enough to visit, I can’t wait to go back some day – and anyone should visit if they get the chance! Here’s a dump of my favourite pics from the trip. Hover mouse over for info, click on pics for higher resolution, and leave any questions you have in the comments.
Cheers – Arigato daimas

I’m so jealous! Hope you had time to fit in some karaoke while you were there!

Did 4 different karaoke sessions – the best one was in a normal (open) bar singing this J-metal song with a businessman. Best night of my life.

Cheers, took well over 1,000 whilst I was over. These are just the slightly more interesting ones.

These shots are fantastic! Japan looks like such a brilliant mix of cultures. Would LOVE to visit one day. One Day!

Cheers. And thanks for the pingback.
If you get the chance GO GO GO to Japan. We got cheap flights through KLM and it’s not nearly as expensive as people think – was cheaper than getting to America. Not to mention the fact that it’s pretty much 100% camera-porn. My DSLR hadn’t taken punishment like that in a looong time!

Thanks again for the shout out. Been wanting to start a photography blog too, but just don’t have the time! :(

Ahh, tell me about it. It’s hard enough to run just the one blog at times.

I’ve been to Japan myself. Definitely the most fun I’ve had visiting a foreign country. It looks like you had a great time!

Absolutely – went from the UK and was so excited to be there I didn’t get a whiff of jet lag. Where did you visit?

Visiting from Jaina’s blog. I’ve been to most of these places! It’s cool to see them through a wide-angle lens ;)

Most pics are indeed a wide-angle lens – although it’s on a cropped frame, so probably looks more obvious than full frame. Thanks for stopping by!
